Founded in 2007 by Archbishop Jose H. Gomez and Archbishop Charles Chaput, CALL is a national non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and spiritual formation of the Latino leaders of this country in their knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith. With chapters across the U.S., in cities such as Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. Each chapter works with its local bishop on one or two service projects. Examples include sponsoring and supporting scholarships in Catholic education K-University, aiding the Queen of Angels Center for Priestly Formation or those entering religious life. CALL cultivates a deep spiritual life through participating in CALL’s local events, national conference, retreats, Rome Pilgrimages, and Vatican Embassy receptions.

CALL seeks to build a lay membership core of Catholic business, professional and community leaders whose individual and collective characteristics can serve the Church and the broader Latino community in the United States. CALL’s emphasis on leadership development, service and stewardship is key to developing strong leadership for the Catholic Church over generations.
